Recently we switched to Rapattoni. Already we realized that staff is answering the same questions on a daily basis, so we created this "Frequently Asked Questions" page to help you.
Question: How do I get all the listings on our/ my web page or get a RETS feed?
First in order to have all the listings or IDX on your web page, your Broker must have agreed to participate in IDX with this office. They would have been faxed a form that they had to complete and return.
Once that is complete, you have two options. The first is to log into firelandsmls.com and go to the Public Access Links. There you should see a link (Framed IDX Solution). You need to cut and paste this link to your web site.
The other option is to have your Webmaster contact Firelands MLS to set up an IDX account. This must be approved by the Chief Executive Officer. Once the account is set up, you must have or obtain a RETS Client (there are free tools/utilities and ones you must pay for). We do not recommend a specific one or provide them. This RETS Client will allow you to retrieve the data. For more information on RETS visit www.rets.org.
Question: Why is my MLS tool bar not showing?
When you have problems such as your MLS tool bar disappearing when you tab or scroll down while entering information or your MLS does not seem to be working properly and you have already cleared your Temporary Internet Files and Cookies...you may need to give your computer a more intense cleaning.....Follow the directions below.
Click on your start button
Select Run
Type in CMD and hit enter
Type in ipconfig/flushdns and hit enter
If you still encounter problems after doing this procedure, please contact MLS Support at 1-866-730-7114.
A higher resolution camera would give you more area to crop if you need or wanted too. As far as image quality, there is not alot of difference. If you are printing an 8 x 10 photo however, you would notice a difference.
Optical zoom is like what you would have on your 35mm camera. When you zoom in or out on a particular image, the lens elements move inside the camera to achieve the desired photo.
Digital zoom has no moving parts but uses the brain within the camera. The camera takes a look at what it looking at, and digitally zooms in two or three times closer. With digital zoom however, you usually lose some of the quality...the image may be more "pixelated" than the image taken using the optical zoom. Try not to purchase a camera with digital zoom only.
As as megapixels are concerned....what you need depends on what size photos you intend on printing most often. If you are going to print 4 x 6 photos the most megapixel you need is 2 megapixel. 5 x 7 photos would also require at least a 2 megapixel. 8 x10 photos need no less than 3 megapixels. Anything larger would require a 4+ megapixel or higher.
Go to your Control Panel, Internet Options, under the General tab, go to temporary internet files and click on Delete Files. Another box will pop up confirming that you want to delete all the offline content, click OK. This could take a couple minutes or so. When this process is complete, restart your computer and you should only see the update photos in your listing. Go ahead and click on Delete Cookies, and follow the instructions there also.
Yes, Under View/Revise for your new listing, under Pictures you will see a link entitled Copy Pictures. Simply click on that link and it will ask you to input the listing number of the old listing where the photo is located. Hit Submit and it will bring up the photo and ask you to verify if this is the correct photo, if the photo is correct, hit Submit. It is that simple.
Your computer stores copies of frequently viewed web pages and graphics in its Memory Cache or Disk Cache. This helps your computer display the page faster as it does not have to retrieve the page from the network each time you attempt to view it. The page is instead opened from directly from memory or cache. Depending on your settings, you may have to hit refresh to see any changes made by the webmaster.
To clear the cache, you can click on Tools at the top of the screen then click Internet Options. Click on the "General Tab", look for the Temporary Internet files, click "Delete Files", place a check mark in the Delete all offline content and then click "Ok". Depending on the amount of file contained here, this process may take a few minutes. Next click on the "Delete Cookies" and then click "Ok". Finally click on the "Clear History" button, when prompted "Are you sure you want windows to clear the pages of visited web sites" click "Yes". Once you have completed these steps, your problem should be solved.

The picture can only be saved in JPG format. You may need to rename your photo. The system does not recognize hyphens, spaces, dashes, commas, or periods (aside from the period right before "jpg"). The recommended picture size for uploading is 400 pixels wide by 300 pixels high. If the photos are larger than that, the system attempts to resize them and may cause you to "time out".
